'Across the Deep Blue Sea' is the story of a little man who wakes up to find himself bobbing around in a make-shift boat in the middle of a vast ocean.
For him, it’s a breeze – there are plenty of fish to keep him company, he doesn’t have to make phone calls or answer a million e-mails every day and he can sail around to his heart’s content. That is until the storms arrive… Inspired by the works of internationally renowned mime Nola Rae, French physical comedian Jacques Tati and under-sea explorer Jacques Cousteau, 'Across the Deep Blue Sea' is a theatre journey like no other – comic, touching, slightly surreal and full of inventive mechanical staging. Featuring puppetry, physical comedy and just the odd squirt of water.

Ashes, blood and the slipper of glass… Once upon a time there was a rich merchant who had two beautiful stepdaughters, dressed in silk and lace.
His own child became their scullery girl and slept in the ashes. They called her Ashputtel… This traditional favourite Brothers Grimm story has been adapted by David Haworth, and directed by Kirstie Davis.

Hand to Mouth Theatre present an original adaptation of this well-loved tale.
Martin Bridle and Su Eaton have woven extra drama and humour into this Goldilocks story, combining traditional glove puppetry and live music to create a patchwork of delights, which is “not too salty, not too sweet, but just right!”
Martin Bridle and Su Eaton have been creating and performing high quality puppet theatre since 1979, entertaining audiences at theatres and festivals in the UK, Europe, Russia, USA, Canada and South Korea, and their work is much loved on the Artsreach circuit.

A story of kindness, trust in the unknown and dancing with turtles
Every day Oshima goes off fishing in his little tub boat.
He hopes he will catch a really, big fish… But he never does. Maybe it is because Oshima’s pet frog, Ito, is always playing tricks, or maybe Oshima is just too busy day-dreaming about what it must be like under the Big Sea… One day Oshima has a big adventure and gets the chance to find out. With a growing reputation for lovingly made puppets and engaging performances Angel Heart Theatre offers this simple, uplifting tale for all hearts, young and old. Full of amazing sea creatures, imaginative visual design and live sound-songs of the ocean, this is a show where warm-hearted humour swims with big-eyed wonder…Dive in!

"The Selfish Giant built a high wall all around his lovely garden to keep the children out.
But it also kept Spring away, so that it was always Winter in the garden, and the North Wind and the Frost and the Snow danced about the trees. One morning the Giant looked out and saw a most wonderful sight......"
PuppetCraft are revisiting and reviving one of their favourite shows, following its great success the first time around; it last toured to Artsreach around 10 years ago. This much-loved fairy tale is brought to life using beautiful puppets and original music. The story is adapted to broaden its appeal, while keeping the charm of Oscar Wilde's story.
