Artsreach runs lots of creative participatory activities for young people over the summer holidays and puts on shows especially for you and your family throughout the year. Check out workshops and performances in this section to find out more...

We aim to put something on for everyone, and would love to hear from you if you have ideas of workshops or shows you or your friends would like us to run. If you go to a workshop or a show, do email us and let us know what you thought of it!

'The Phoenix and Carpet'
A co-production with The Nuffield Theatre Southampton
Join four children on their adventures as they are whisked away on their new magical carpet, with help of a mysterious and fiery phoenix! When a golden egg falls into the nursery fire and hatches a talking Phoenix Robert, Cyril, Andrea and Jane begin a remarkable adventure that will see them travel the world on their new carpet. Adapted from the classic children's book by E. Nesbit, Forest Forge's magical winter production features beautiful live music, incredible puppets and a wonderful winter atmosphere. Recommended min age 5+

Meet Granddad, eccentric traveller and storyteller extraordinaire. Enter his battered Bedouin tent to hear magical tales of adventure in real and imaginary worlds. The Clock That Stopped Time, The Violin Princess and The Most Beautiful Thing in The World are brand new old fashioned fairy tales crafted by Toby Hulse from the imaginations of the children of Bristol. Evocative sound, light and exquisite puppetry create a classic performance, enthralling and delighting the whole family. Are you sitting comfortably? Pickled Image is an internationally renowned company specialising in puppetry for live performance and theatre.

Angel Heart presents
'Voyage of the Nutjellynana'
Alice, Melby and Fidge. Three cuddly toys long since loved, left behind and now forgotten in an old attic. Life looks like it's lost its stuffing until Fidge has a banana-brained plan... Build a rocket ship, blast off, and boldly go where no toy has gone before!! "Easy." says Fidge. "Bonkers!" says Melby. "Ooooooh!" says Alice. But when the 'Nutjellynana' reaches outer space Melby is sucked down a black hole, leaving Alice and Fidge to come to his rescue, making new friends along the way. Journey out-of-this-world with amazing puppets, fabulous storytelling, a cosmic soundtrack and some salutes to sci-fi classics! This is Angel Heart's new show for all the family over 4 years.
