Artsreach organises a varied programme of touring visual art exhibitions which circulate to village halls, rural galleries, and other venues throughout Dorset. Among the main strands of the touring programme are contemporary craft shows, thematic exhibitions bringing together contemporary and traditional work and collaborations with national and regional artists. In addition to our touring exhibitions, we also manage a range of visual arts projects and residencies working with community groups and artists throughout rural Dorset.
What's Happening Now?
Our visual arts focus is currently the Deep Time exhibition, featuring photographs by Ben Osborne from his 'Jurassic Journey' project. Exhibited alongside are sculptures by Lal Hitchcock, poetry by Matt Harvey plus music by Sammy Hurden. Deep Time is now in its final stage, in residence for the summer at Durlston Country Park's new Fine Foundation Gallery. Click on 'Deep Time' in the menu to the left of this page to find out more.
Artsreach is currently part of the Big Picture collaborative group for the visual arts in Dorset. Following the success of our first collaborative project, ExLab, we are pleased to be involved in part 2 of ExLab. Artist Zachary Eastwood-Bloom has been commissioned by Big Picture and managed by Artsreach to create a site-specific piece for Durlston. Click ExLab 2012 in the menu (left) to find out more.
