The Art of Craft (2004)

This project aimed to stimulate a renewed interest in Dorset’s traditional crafts by offering local artists and craftspeople an opportunity to learn a traditional craft skill and then commissioning those artists to design a contemporary craft item, incorporating the traditional skill in an innovative way.

The commissioned work was widely exhibited throughout Dorset and also travelled to Bergh Apton in Norfolk.
